Kathryn Brooke Anderson of Stuart and Samuel Clement Harvey of Blairsville, Ga., were married Sept. 15, 2007, in an outdoor ceremony at the Stuart home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dannie Lester Anderson. The Rev. Terry Ragsdale performed the ceremony.
The bride is the granddaughter of John and Betty Lou Clark of Stuart and the late William Brooke Simmons and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lester Anderson.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Harvey of Blairsville. He is the grandson of Agnes Hupfer of Rock Hill, S.C., and Lou Harvey of Paducah, Ky.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a strapless pleated silk taffeta gown with floral beaded bands. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies, hydrangea and roses with ribbon and pearls.
Maid of honor was Jennie Anderson of Knoxville, Tenn., sister of the bride. She wore an olive taffeta tea-length gown with a modified square neckline and a sash. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies, hydrangea, orchids and roses.
Bridesmaids were Lou Arden Gregory and Alice Gregory, both of Stuart and cousins of the bride; Alice Harvey of Blairsville, cousin of the bridegroom; Bethany Pruett of Wytheville, Laura Bernstein of New York City and Sara Antonio of Denver. Their gowns and bouquets matched the maid’s of honor.
Junior bridesmaid was Sydney Anderson, and the flower girl was Olivia Anderson. Both are cousins of the bride and daughters of Derrick and Laura Anderson of Rock Hill, S.C.
Best man was Ben Arndt of Atlanta.
Groomsmen were brother of the bridegroom Mathew Harvey of Wise; Thomas Worrell of Charlottesville; Robert Kirksey of Lutz, Fla.; Will Woodlee of Washington, D.C.; Jon Prazak of New York City; and John Franklin of Young Harris, Ga.
Brother-in-law of the bridegroom Danny Hoppe of Atlanta was an usher.
Ring bearer was Kelly Durham, cousin of the bride and son of Jeff and Tammy Durham of Stuart.
Bell ringers were Caleb Anderson, cousin of the bride and son of Derrick and Laura Anderson, and Tanner Durham, son of Jeff and Tammy Durham.
Wedding music was provided by a Corda Entertainment string quartet of Greensboro, N.C., and the father of the bridegroom singing and playing guitar.
A dinner and dance reception was held at the Andersons’ home.
The couple took a honeymoon in Belize.
They live in Atlanta.
The bride is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is employed by Piedmont Hospital Cardiac ICU in Atlanta.
The bridegroom is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a bachelor of science degree in political science and received his juris doctorate from Wake Forest University. He is employed by Archer Smith and Associates Law Firm in Atlanta.
Prior to the wedding the couple were honored on the following occasions: a shower and farewell party at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro; a bridal shower at Stuart Baptist Church; a lingerie shower and bachelorette party in Las Vegas; a bachelor party in Charleston, S.C.; a bridesmaids luncheon at Cross Creek County Club in Mt. Airy, N.C.; a cocktail party in Blairsville, all hosted by friends and family; and a rehearsal dinner at Shelton Vineyards in Dobson, N.C., hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Steve Harvey.
