Crystal Nemeth and Christopher Meeks, both of Collinsville, were married Oct. 3 at Stone Memorial Christian Church in Collinsville. The Rev. Tim Cole performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Cheryl Collier of Troy. She is the granddaughter of the late William and Barbara Collier.
The bridegroom is the son of Earnest Meeks and Cindy Meeks of Collinsville. He is the grandson of Jack Palmer of Swansboro, N.C., Joan Palmer of Collinsville, and Thurman and Judy Meeks of Collinsville.
The bride was escorted by her nephew, Shawn Dehart of Fieldale. She wore a strapless satin A-line gown with Maderia lace, sequins and beading, and a semi-cathedral-length train. She carried a bouquet of pink and orange roses and blue and ivory lilies. Attached to the bouquet was a small Bible given to the bridegroom when he was born.
Christina Collier of Martinsville, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore an orange and fuchsia gown with braided straps and carried a bouquet of pink and orange roses with blue lilies and checkered flag ribbon.
Amanda Collier of Fieldale and Angela Nemeth of Axton, both sisters of the bride, were bridesmaids. Their gowns and bouquets matched those of the maid of honor.
Billi Dean Grindstaff, daughter of Jessie Roop of Bassett, was flower girl.
Joshua Meeks, brother of the bridegroom, was the best man.
Cousin of the bridegroom Andrew Palmer and Joey Witt, both of Collinsville, were the groomsmen.
Thurman Meeks and Anthony Meeks of Collinsville, uncle of the bridegroom, were ushers.
Braden Hundley, nephew of the bride and son of Amanda Collier and Brent Hundley of Fieldale, was the ring bearer.
A reception was held at the church.
The couple took a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
They live in Collinsville.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Bassett High School and attends Patrick Henry Community College. She is employed by WalMart.
The bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Bassett High School and attended Patrick Henry Community College.
Prior to the wedding, the couple was honored Sept. 19 with a wedding shower at Jordan Creek Park, hosted by Cindy Meeks and Joan Palmer. |
