Robyn Frances Lussier and Jonathan Edward Bigler, both of Alexandria, were married Sept. 5 at Crowne Plaza in Arlington. The Rev. John Gardner performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Roger Lussier of Assonet, Mass., and the late Frances Lussier.

The bridegroom is the son of James and Judith Bigler of Martinsville.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a strapless gown with yellow trim and carried a bouquet of yellow and orange roses.

Samantha Graves of Lowell, Mass., sister of the bride, served as the matron of honor. She wore a sleeveless navy blue dress and carried a bouquet that matched that of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Jennifer Davis of Taunton, Mass., Emily Bodkin of New York, and Hillary Jellison of Westfield, Mass. Their dresses and bouquets matched those of the matron of honor.

Chris Herr of Vienna served as the best man.

Groomsmen were brother of the bride Roger F. Lussier of Boston, Robert Doherty of Roanoke, and Matthew Pickelle of New York.

Jennifer Hanson of Richmond, sister of the bride, gave a reading.

A reception was held at Crowne Plaza.

The couple took a honeymoon in St. Lucia.

They live in Alexandria.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Apponequet Regional High School in Lakeville, Mass., and a 2002 graduate of Boston University in Boston with a bachelor’s degree in communications. She is an advertising analyst at The Motley Fool in Alexandria.

The bridegroom is a 1991 graduate of Martinsville High School, a 1995 graduate of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg with a bachelor’s degree in history. He is slated for graduation in 2010 from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Fla., with a master’s degree in logistics management. He is a military operations analyst at Systems, Planning and Analysis Inc. in Alexandria.

Prior to the wedding, the couple were honored on the following occasions: Nov. 23, a brunch at Crystal City Sports Pub in Arlington, hosted by friends; May 16, a bridal shower at the home of the bride’s father and stepmother, hosted by her stepmother, Donna Blaisdell, and Samantha Graves, and a bachelorette party at the Melting Pot restaurant and Dave and Buster’s in Providence, R.I., hosted by the bridesmaids; Aug. 22, a bachelor and bachelorette party in Atlantic City, N.J., hosted by friends of the couple; and Sept. 4, a rehearsal dinner at Crystal City Sports Pub in Arlington, hosted by the parents of the bridegroom.
