No arrests had been made by Sunday evening in Saturday’s shooting death of a Martinsville man and the wounding of two others outside an Eden, N.C., nightclub.

Eden Police Lt. R. Price said Sunday that the investigation was continuing and no arrests had been made.

On Saturday, the Eden Police reported that Timothy Ronnel Seay, 37, of 1205 Maxine Road, Martinsville, died from multiple gunshot wounds outside Eden’s Icehouse Club and Lounge at 634 Monroe St. Seay’s address has been listed as 1848 Sunset Drive, Bassett, by Hairston Funeral Home, which is handling is funeral arrangements.

Also shot in the incident were Terris Tewayne Dandridge, 30, of Mica Street in Martinsville, and Jason Maurice Gallant, 25, of Richmond, the police release stated.

Dandridge was taken to Morehead Hospital in Eden, where he was in stable condition Saturday afternoon and discharged late that night, according to a hospital spokesman.

Gallant was seen by medical personnel at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., and released, a hospital spokesman said.

The incident began inside the nightclub with an altercation that “worked its way” outside into the street, Deputy Chief Greg Light said Saturday.

Officers in the area investigating a suspicious vehicle heard gunshots in the area of the club, and when they responded to the scene, they found the three men who had been shot. Light said they were found in the street outside the club.

He said he did not know Saturday what prompted the altercation.

As many as 150 people might have been at the scene when the shooting occurred, Light said, and roughly 30 to 40 were detained for questioning by police.

The club did not reopen Saturday night, and Light said efforts were under way to close it down.
