Police are searching for two people in connection with an alleged robbery, and three others are in custody in the case, according to a news release from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and sheriff’s Sgt. Curtis Spence.
Samantha Gayle Smith, 20, and Tracy Isaiah Wall, 22, both are wanted on charges of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, the release said.
Both live in Henry County, according to Spence.
The charges stem from an alleged robbery at 4:49 a.m. Monday, according to police. They allege that at that time, three white males entered the home of Melvin Euceda-Lopez at 1568 Stultz Road, Martinsville.
Euceda-Lopez and Jose Louis Zaldivar both were assaulted after being bound, the release stated.
Two females inside the home at the time of the incident were not assaulted, Spence said. Police alleged that the two females were involved in the robbery, according to Spence and the release.
An undisclosed amount of cash, a 40-inch LCD TV, a firearm and other items were taken from the home, according to the release.
Three people are being held in the Henry County Jail on charges in connection with the incident. They are:
• Robert Sloan Jr., 32, 84 Turner Road, Collinsville, who is being held with no bond after his arrest Tuesday on charges of one count each of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, use of a firearm in commission of robbery, aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of malicious wounding.
• Angel Michelle Hall, 20, 403 Starling Avenue, Martinsville, who is being held with no bond following a Monday arrest on one count each of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
• James Carl Hensley Jr., 32, 223 Forest Hill Drive, Collinsville, who is being held with no bond following a Monday arrest on one count of robbery.
Anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of Smith and Wall is urged to contact investigators.
Police caution that anyone who aids and abets any fugitive can be arrested for breaking the law, according to Spence and the release.
