Peggy Renae Via and Kelvin Lamont Martin, both of Ridgeway, were married on July 16 at Progressive Prayer Temple Church in Martinsville. Bishop Milton Johnson Sr. performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of the late Ellis Hoover Via and Ida Jane Via.
The bridegroom is the son of Jennifer Martin of Greensboro, N.C., and the late Kenneth Ray Martin.
The bride was escorted by her brother, Jessie Clayton Via of Bassett.
Vickie Gravely of Bassett was the matron of honor and Lisa Via of Martinsville was the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Belinda Penn of Alexandria, Letonya Martin of Greensboro, Latoya Estes of Martinsville, Tiffany Via of Atlanta and Tonisha Via of Illinois.
Miyah and Mariah Norman, daughters of Casenio Norman of Ridgeway, were the flower girls.
Michael Doggett of Reids-ville, N.C., and Timothy Martin of Greensboro were the best men.
Groomsmen were Brad Bonds and James Doggett of Eden; Ervin Doggett and Sam Doggett of Reidsville; and Robert Doggett of Atlanta.
Ushers were Antonio Wade, Anthwan Wade, Avrian Wade and Marco Estes of Martinsville; and Vincent Terry of Fairfax. They all are nephews of the bride.
Christian Beltran III, son of Latoya Estes, was the ring bearer.
Dewayne "Red" Doggett of Reidsville was the host, and Kathelynn Ashley of Bassett and Demetruis Via of Greensboro were the hostesses.
The wedding party also included the brid's siblings, Linda Estes, Rita Wade and David Via of Martinsville; Mattie Terry of Ridgeway; Deborah Brown of Raleigh; Jessie Via of Bassett; Roger Via of Illinois and Wallace Via of Durham and Earl Penn of Stuart.
A reception was held at the church.
The couple took a honeymoon in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
They live in Ridgeway.
Prior to the wedding, the couple was honored on July 9 with a bridal shower hosted by the bride's sisters.
