Deborah Bowman Lankford of Ridgeway and Gary Lee Clark of Spencer were married on Oct. 8 at Anderson Park in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Rev. Joye performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Carolyn Bowman of Ridgeway and the late Verlon E. Bowman Sr. Her son is Brice Lankford of Ridgeway.
The bridegroom is the son of the late George and Barbara Clark. His children are Johnathon Clark of Ridgeway and Stephanie Clark of Stuart.
The bride was escorted by her son. She wore a strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice with beads and sequins, a lace-up back and a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies, roses, solidago, fugi, hypericum berries and button mums.
Kyleigh Grace Nickelston, daughter of Brad and Ashley Nickelston of Whitsett, N.C., was the flower girl.
The bridegroom's son was the best man.
Tyler Spencer, son of Johnie and Heather Spencer of Axton, was the ring bearer.
Jamey Turner of Ridgeway played the guitar.
A reception was held at Big Daddy's Steakhouse in Myrtle Beach.
The couple took a honeymoon in Savannah, Ga.
They live in Henry County.
The bride, a 1985 graduate of Drewry Mason High School, is employed by Remington Arms Company in Madison, N.C., and is self-employed as a designer with Celebrating Home.
The bridegroom, who attended G.W. Carver High School, is employed by CP Films/Solutia in Fieldale.
Prior to the wedding, the couple was honored on the following occasions: Aug. 26, a bridal shower at the home of the bride, hosted by Carolyn Bowman, LuAnn Nickelston and Linda Sizemore; and Oct. 7, a dinner at TBones Steak House in Murrells Inlet, S.C., hosted by family and friends of the wedding couple.
