City stop sign is needed
Wednesday, April 11, 2012
This is in response to the lady who has driven Corn Tassel Trail for a long time and is concerned about having to stop at the intersection of Old Spruce Street and Corn Tassel Trail.
First, I am now driving Old Spruce Street and I welcome the stop sign as the sight distance is very limited for our street (Old Spruce Street) as there are utility poles and other obstructions to try and see around from our right and trying to make a left turn into Corn Tassel is very tricky as you cannot see over the hill.
Second, I have stopped at this intersection and have seen cars on Corn Tassel not stop for the sign.
I suggest this lady try the route I have to take once and see what we see from the other side. It would certainly be worth stopping if it would avoid an accident or even a fatality.
