Henry County Parks and Recreation Senior Services will sponsor QVC featured artist, Karen Eggleston, who will teach the Art of the Month class: 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Collinsville Branch Library. The first of six free diabetes awareness classes: 6-8 p.m. at the Spencer-Penn Centre, presented by the Martinsville Henry County Coalition for Health and Wellness. Learn about how to better manage diabetes. The classes are for anyone who has a family history of diabetes, has been told he/she is pre-diabetic or has received a diagnosis of diabetes. Margaret Caldwell, a representative of Patrick Henry Community College, will be at the Martinsville-Henry County Health Department from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. to provide information about the On-Ramp Grant program.
