The Fieldale Community Center is currently accepting applications for T-ball until April 20.

The league is open to boys and girls ages 4-9. The cost is $25 for members and $35 for non-members.

Kovac hits hole-in-one

Aaron Kovac recently made a hole-in-one at Forest Park Country Club on Friday, April, 13.

Kovac aced his tee shot on hole No. 1 with a driver from 350 yards out. Witnessing the shot were Ronnie Eades, Shane Grady and Butch Freeland.

Golf tournament to be held

The Sons of Amvets Golf Tournament will be held May 19 at Beaver Hills Golf Course in Martinsville.

Team entries are $160, and individual entries cost $40. The format for the tournament is captain’s choice, and first and second place awards will be given.

The tournament will begin at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. Food and soft drinks will be served, and hole sponsorship costs $50. For more information, contact Ricky Catron at 647-8605 or Beaver Hills at 632-1526.
