Tammy Wade and Timothy Alan Robertson, both of Axton, were married on April 6 at Chatham Heights Baptist Church. Dr. Michael Hatfield performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Talmadge and Eloise Wade of Martinsville. She is the granddaughter of the late Harvey and Ruby Wade and Richard and Lelia Gunter. Her children are Jessica Martin of Collinsville, and Sydney and Tanner Martin of the home.
The bridegroom is the son of C.J. and Myrtle Robertson of Martinsville. He is the grandson of Thelma Kilby of Martinsville and the late M.J. “Cotton” Kilby, and Arnetta Robertson of Martinsville, and the late Harry Robertson. His children are Alan Robertson of Martinsville and Olivia Robertson.
The bride was escorted by her son. She wore a tulle ball gown with a satin halter-style bodice with beading, and she wore a tiara and a mid-length veil. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas and roses and pink lilies.
Sydney Martin was the maid of honor. She wore a dark pink strapless satin dress and carried a bouquet of hydrangeas.
Olivia Robertson was the bridesmaid. Her dress and bouquet matched those of the maid of honor.
Amelia Monroe, daughter of Happy and Betsy Monroe, was the flower girl.
C.J. Robertson was the best man.
Groomsman was Alan Robertson.
Tee Wade, brother of the bride, and Dustin Christian, nephew of the bride, were the ushers.
Harrison Monroe, son of Happy and Betsy Monroe, was the ring bearer.
Rob Bailey of Martinsville played the piano and organ.
A reception was held at Chatmoss Country Club.
The couple took a honeymoon in Bermuda.
They live in Axton.
The bride is a 1985 graduate of Laurel Park High School and attended Patrick Henry Community College. She is employed by Dr. John Wheless.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Martinsville High School and earned an associate degree from Patrick Henry Community College. He attended Averett University. He is self-employed with Tim Robertson Sales and Installation.
Prior to the wedding, the couple was honored on the following occasions: March 27, a shower and bachelorette party at the home of Janet Branscome, hosted by friends of the bride; and April 6, a golf outing in Chatmoss, hosted by friends of the bridegroom.
