• The Garden Study Club and the Martinsville Garden Club for hosting “A Stroll in Historic Uptown,” the tours of homes, gardens and a church in uptown Martinsville during Historic Garden Week. The tours, held Wednesday, attracted 525 people and raised money for the Garden Club of Virginia’s preservation of historic gardens statewide. This year, that club is funding the landscaping at the old Henry County courthouse in Martinsville.
