Susanne Jeannine Bauman and Brian O’Neal Ingram, both of Durham, N.C., were married on Nov. 11 at the Angus Barn Pavilions in Raleigh, N.C. The Rev. John L. Trout of Glen Rock, Pa., performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Bruce and Deborah Bauman of Glen Rock. She is the granddaughter of Susanne Klinefelter of New Freedom, Pa., and the late Lewis Klinefelter, and the late Jean and Harry Bauman.
The bridegroom is the son of Gary and Judy Ingram of Martinsville. He is the grandson of Lessie Hall of Bassett and the late Charlie D. Hall, and Hazel Ingram of Axton and the late Millard Ingram.
The bride was escorted by her parents. She wore a satin gown with a modified sweetheart neckline, beaded lace-embroidered bodice, wrap waist and A-line skirt with beaded hem lace and a chapel-length train. She wore a veil made of angel dust tulle. She carried a bouquet of white garden roses, matthiola and freesia, dark purple lisianthus, dark red spray roses and Black Beauty cosmos.
Katrina Kinneer of Camp Hill, Pa., was the matron of honor. She wore a black cocktail dress and carried a bouquet of dark purple lisianthus, dark red roses, blue delphinium and green mini hydrangeas.
Bridesmaids were Clare Kwan of Traverse City, Mich., and Brooke Heidenfelder of Durham. Their dresses and bouquets matched those of the matron of honor.
Flower girls were Sydney Baur, cousin of the bride and daughter of Maureen and John Baur of Malvern, Pa., and Rachel Griffin, niece of the bridegroom and daughter of Wendy and Elvis Griffin of Axton.
Greg Atkinson of Morrisville, N.C., was the best man.
Groomsmen were Jason Dunovant of Martinsville and Patrick O’Brein of Williamsburg.
Sister-in-law of the bride Jocelyn Rice of Lawrence, Kan., was the reader.
A string trio and trumpet player of Elegant Ensembles from Winston-Salem, N.C., provided wedding music.
A reception was held at the Angus Barn Pavilions.
The couple took a honeymoon to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C.
They live in Durham.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Susquehannock High School in Glen Rock, a 1999 graduate of the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, and a 2006 graduate of Duke University with a Ph.D. in biochemistry. She is a discovery biochemist at Novan Therapeutics in Durham.
The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Laurel Park High School, a 2004 graduate of Radford University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a 2010 graduate of Duke University with a Ph.D. in biochemistry. He is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Prior to the wedding, the couple was honored on the following occasions: Sept. 24, a shower in Durham, hosted by Brooke Heidenfelder and Kristen Pormann; Oct. 1, a shower in Glen Rock, hosted by Deborah Bauman, Sandi Prueitt and Katrina Kinneer; Oct. 15, a shower in Axton, hosted by Judy Ingram, Lessie Hall, Hazel Ingram and Darlene Earles; and Nov. 10, a rehearsal dinner at Tyler’s Restaurant and Taproom in Durham.
