Wednesday, May 30

A Basic Life Support (BLS) class for health-care providers will be offered at 6 p.m. at the Henry County Department of Public Safety on DuPont Road, Martinsville. Contact Suzie Helbert at 634-4662 or shelbert@co.henry.va.us to register.

Margaret Caldwell, a representative of Patrick Henry Community College, will be at the Bassett Branch Library: 10 a.m. until noon to provide information about the On-Ramp Grant program. This grant helps qualified unemployed/under-employed adults enroll in college training programs to improve their work force skills and ability to obtain new employment.
