Taranda Vann and Marques Ingram, both of Charlotte, N.C., were married on May 18 at The Reserve at Paradisus Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Shannon Dyscale performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Sueveria Vann of Hempstead, N.Y. She is the granddaughter of Pinkie Williams of Florala, Ala., and the late Darleana Mills, Zack Knox and Cain Jenkins.
The bridegroom is the son of Donald and Arlene H. Ingram of Martinsville. He is the grandson of Nora G. Hodge of Martinsville, and the late Herman H. Hodge, and the late Roxie T. Ingram and William Henry Ingram.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline, vicenza organza panels, folds, a rhinestone waistline and floral belt. She carried a bouquet of fuchsia roses.
Crystal Cox-Walker of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Nia Cash of Raleigh, N.C., were the matrons of honor. They wore fuchsia gowns and carried bouquets of white roses with fuchsia accents.
Bridesmaids were sister of the bridegroom Yvonne Ingram of Greensboro, N.C., and Veronica Williams of Charlotte. They wore fuchsia gowns and carried bouquets of white roses with fuchsia floral accents.
Ava Cash, daughter of Brad and Nia Cash of Raleigh, was the flower girl.
Verlon Redd of Martinsville was the best man.
Groomsmen were Lavar Ethridge, James Cornick and Earlie Robinson, all of Charlotte.
Miles Cash, son of Brad and Nia Cash, was the ring bearer.
A reception was held at the resort lounge.
The couple took a honeymoon in Punta Cana.
They live in Charlotte.
The bride is a 1994 graduate of Southside High School in Rockville Centre, Long Island, N.Y., and a 1998 graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is the manager of internal audit for SPX Corp.
The bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Martinsville High School and a 1997 graduate of ECPI Technical Institute with a degree in computer information science. He is a senior CRM business consultant in the financial industry.
Prior to the wedding, the couple was honored on the following occasions: April 22, a bridal shower in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., hosted by Crystal Walker and Nia Cash; April 27, a bachelor party weekend in Atlanta, hosted by Andre Walker and Wayne Majors; and May 17, a rehearsal dinner at Vento Restaurant at The Reserve at Paradisus Resort, hosted by the wedding couple.
