Grand jury indicts dozens
In Henry County

Grand jurors in Henry County indicted 58 people Monday.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt. It is a grand jury’s determination that enough evidence exists to hold a trial.
Among the 115 indictments issued and 58 people are:
• Harvey Foddrell, 46, 500 Clearview Drive, Martinsville, grand larceny, March 21.
• Kathy Lynn Stanley, 51, 77 Ford St., Collinsville, malicious wounding, March 15.
• Sean Aubrey Thomas, 44, 112 Stoney Ridge Road, Bassett, possession of a firearm by a felon convicted within 10 years, April 16.
• Jerry Donell Turner, 32, 3142 Columbus Drive, Bassett, hit and run — attended property, April 24.
• Michael Ray Richardson, 39, 1989 Fish Pond Road, Stuart, statutory burglary of a building with intent to commit larceny; grand larceny (firearm); and petty larceny, second offense, all between Jan. 6-7.
• James Michael Murray, 34, 17495 A.L. Philpott Highway, Martinsville, third-offense larceny (shoplifting); and eluding police by endangerment with speed 20 miles per hour or more over limit, both March 12.
• Emma Wells Hand, 44, 1305 Hillcrest Ave., Martinsville, third-offense larceny (shoplifting), March 12.
• Erica Lynette Walker, 32, 300 Clyde Prillaman St., Fieldale, grand larceny, March 12.
• Crystal McKenzie Corum, 29, 2900 Kings Mill Road, Ridgeway, felony shoplifting (grand larceny), Jan. 24.
• James Edward Greer, 47, 863 Flamingo Road, Bassett, felonious violation of the Habitual Offender Act (second or subsequent offense), March 12.
• Demetrius Nazshae Inge, 18, 310 Southland Drive, Martinsville, grand larceny (firearm), March 13.
• Jeffrey Lynn Bryson, 36, 108 Ridgecrest Ave., Collinsville, two counts of assault and batter of a police officer and one count of malicious wounding, all March 25.
• John Christopher Daniels, 28, 409 Harris St., Martinsville, armed statutory burglary, grand larceny and possess a firearm by a convicted violent felon, all April 4.
• Candace Leann Bowman, 23, 80 Shelton Park Lane, Bassett, three counts of distribute cocaine; and one count each of distribute Schedule II controlled substance and causing child to become abused/neglected, March and April incidents.
• Leslie Anne Gardner, 23, 133 Avenal Drive, Bassett, third-offense larceny (shoplifting), March 26.
• Benjamin Matthew Morgan, 43, 627 Willie Craig Road, Bassett, armed statutory burglary, April 1.
• Melissa May Smith, 38, 335 Beachwood Drive, Bassett, obtain money or property by false pretense, forgery and two counts of grand larceny (one firearm), all in March; possess cocaine, Dec. 17.
• Kimberly Dawn Williams, 22, 137 Hephill Drive, Bassett, take indecent liberties with a minor, March 24.
• Charles Hurbert Durham Jr., 69, 60 Theatre St., Martinsville, forcible sodomy, between Dec. 1, 2009, and Dec. 1, 2011.
• Billy Ray Davis, 28, 24 Belcroft Circle, Bassett, possess cocaine and possess methamphetamine, both March 13.
• Hakeem Jamal Shareef, 26, 310 Southland Drive, Martinsville, aggravated sexual battery and take indecent liberties with a minor, both April 7.
• Carlisa Patrice Lowe, 33, 102 Massey St., Martinsville, third-offense larceny (shoplifting), March 15.
• Lisa Marie Turner, 23, 165 Chestnut St., Martinsville, possess cocaine, Feb. 27.

• Roberto Gomez Telles, 18, 74 Halifax Drive, Collinsville, possession of a firearm by a felon under age 29 and convicted of a felony while a juvenile within the past 10 years, March 11.

• Matthew Lee Craft, 31, 1779 Hephill Road, Bassett, four counts of take indecent liberties with a minor and three counts of carnal knowledge, all in January and March.
