Wednesday, July 18, 2012

The deaths of Kathy Bailey Fain, 49, and her husband, Charles Darryl Fain, 52, are being investigated as a double homicide, according to Henry County Sheriff Lane Perry and a news release from the sheriff’s office issued late Wednesday.

The Fains' bodies were found Wednesday in their home at 25 Beaver Road in Villa Heights.

Late Wednesday afternoon, authorities located Kathy Fain's son, Zachary Bailey, 19, Perry said. Bailey had not been where he was supposed to be on Wednesday and police were concerned about him, the sheriff said. Details about where and when he was located were not immediately available.

The bodies were found after a person went to check on the residents when they could not be reached by phone, according to police.

That person entered the home and found one body, Perry said. Police were summoned at 12:17 p.m., and when they arrived and entered the home, they found a second body, they said.

After obtaining a search warrant, investigators worked to collect evidence and process the scene.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at 638-8751, or Crime Stoppers at 63-CRIME (632-7463).

Rewards of up to $1,000 are available through Crime Stoppers for information related to unsolved crimes. The amount of any reward is determined by the nature of the crime and the substance of information provided.
