Country breakfast at the Horsepasture Fire Department: 6-10 a.m. at the fire department. Adults and carry-outs: $6; children under 10, $3.
Benefit breakfast for accident victim Tommy Moore will be held: 7-10 a.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Axton.
The Greater Bassett Area Community will sponsor Bassett’s Shindig on the Green: 6:30-9 p.m. at EMI Imaging (former J.D. Bassett High School). Bring a blanket or chair for the outdoor shindig. Music will be by The Stegalls and the Too Young, Too Old band. Food will be for sale by Chick-fil-A and The Daily Grind. It is free and open to the public.
