Man dies following wreck

A Ridgeway man died Sunday after he was injured in a motorcycle accident Saturday, according to the Virginia State Police in a news release.
Bobby Presley Oldham Jr., 42, of Ridgeway, was hurt in the accident that occurred around 4:30 p.m. Aug. 4 on Virginia 636 just south of Virginia 771 in Henry County, the release said.
The initial investigation revealed that a 2006 Yamaha 650 motorcycle operated by Oldham was traveling northbound on Virginia 636 when it crossed over into the southbound lane and collided with a 1995 Jeep Cherokee, the release stated.
Oldham was taken to North Carolina Baptist Hospital Medical Center in Winston Salem, N.C., where he died Sunday, the release stated.
Oldham was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, the release added.
The State Police is continuing to investigate the crash.
