VMNH sets blood drive
Sunday, August 12, 2012
The Martinsville Bulletin reported the American Red Cross’ urgent need for blood donations. As you may know, the levels of blood inventory have fallen to critical levels, leaving patients without the blood products they so desperately need.
We at the Virginia Museum of Natural History will help meet this critical need in our community by hosting our first ever blood drive at the museum on Monday, Sept. 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in our teacher resource center. Our staff and volunteers will be giving blood, and the general public is invited to participate. As a “thank you” gift, the museum is offering free admission for the day to all donors.
For more information, please contact the museum at 634-4158. We invite everyone in our community to roll up their sleeves and give blood. Make a difference and give hope.
