Dreams for the nation
Thursday, October 4, 2012
Well folks, the hour of decision is almost upon us. Are we, as a people, going to allow an empty suit on an empty chair occupy our beloved White House and pretend to be president for four more years?
I would like to live out my life with hope of an ever-improving country, not one with death panels. One that my children and grandchildren will be proud of; one in which there is opportunity for all, not just for a few; one that has a strong dollar which continues to have the same purchasing power year in and year out. I dream of a country with moral and ethical leaders who are listened to when they speak; a president who leads from the front of the pack and not just says what people want to hear.
I dream of a country that once again lives within its means and is a great trading country like the Yankee traders of old. I would like to have my posterity enjoy the liberties and freedoms that come from our creator and not a gift of government. Do we want to continue in this economic malaise of high unemployment, higher and higher debt, inflating dollars, high energy costs, lack of good paying jobs, deteriorating infrastructure and depending on Russia to get to the space station?
It could be “Morning in America” once again. It’s up to you and me. Vote.
