Gateway Streetscape will begin using the Master Gardener greenhouse provided by Bill Martin and Blue Ridge Aquaculture. Shown here in the greenhouse are Master Gardener president Carolyn Davis (from left), Gateway Executive Director Lizz Stanley and Master Gardener greenhouse manager Janet Mohr. Stanley will help Master Gardeners stagger readiness times for plants grown for sale, the women said. Also, Stanley will use the greenhouse to grow perennials to be planted at public spaces, such as near city and county welcome signs. Leaders of both organizations expressed gratitude to Martin, who allows them to use the greenhouse, including all water and electricity, free of charge. “We’re the only Master Gardeners in Virginia to have a greenhouse,” Mohr said.
