Natalie Jewel Curtis of Danville and Austin Wayne Bolt of Ridgeway were married on Aug. 18 at The Pines lodge in Axton. Mother of the bride Dr. Regina Curtis and grandfather of the bride the Rev. Robert Ross performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Charles and Regina Curtis of Danville. She is the granddaughter of Janie Curtis of Danville and the late Charles F. Curtis and the Rev. Robert and Catherine Ross of Alabama and the late Ronald L. Davis.

The bridegroom is the son of John P. and Lowanna B. Hance of Ridgeway and A. Wayne and Melissa Bolt of Ridgeway. He is the grandson of Archie and Peggy L. Bolt of Meadows of Dan and the late Lloyd and Peggy Belcher and Laconla “Toby” and Chris M. Hance.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a gown with a lace-up back and pick-ups on the skirt with a vintage lace veil.

Maid of honor was Katie Bowes of Danville. Matron of honor was sister of the bride Theresa Scearce of Midlothian. They wore black one-shoulder gowns with flowers on the shoulder and carried bouquets of purple roses with black ribbons.

Bridesmaids were Karla McCubbins, Sierra Rella, sister-in-law of the bride Jordan Curtis and cousins of the bride Lindsey Roberts and Lydia Roberts, all of Danville, and sister of the bridegroom Makayla Thrower of Concord, N.C. They wore purple gowns with rhinestones and carried bouquets of white roses with black ribbons.

Flower girl was Lilly Secrest, daughter of Chad and Liz Secrest of Ridgeway.

Best man was the father of the bridegroom, A. Wayne Bolt.

Groomsmen were step-father of the bridegroom John P. Hance and Jared Harris, both of Ridgeway; Wes Gauldin of Eden, N.C.; brother of the bride Ronnie Curtis of Danville; Chad Secrest of Ridgeway; and cousin of the bridegroom Casey Bolt of Greensboro, N.C.

Ushers were cousin of the bridegroom Jacob Belcher of Forest and Ryan Bolt of Greensboro; and brother in law of the bride Brian Scearce of Midlothian.

Ring bearer was nephew of the bride Carter Curtis, son of Ronnie and Jordan Curtis of Danville.

A reception was held at the lodge.

The couple are planning a honeymoon to the Bahamas in January.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Tunstall High School and attends Danville Community College, where she is studying to be a Registered Nurse.

The bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Magna Vista High School and a 2006 graduate of the Universal Technical Institute MMI Division. He attends Danville Community College in its precision machine technology program and is employed by TE Connectivity in Greensboro.

Prior to the wedding, the couple was honored with a bridal shower on July 28 at the Brosville Fire Department, hosted by Lowanna Hance and Regina Curtis; on Aug. 12 with a lingerie shower at the home of the bride, hosted by the bridesmaids; and on Aug. 17 with a rehearsal dinner at The Pines, hosted by the bridegroom’s parents.
