BREAKING NEWS: Home invasion robbery reported

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a home invasion robbery in which money reportedly was taken and shots were fired Wednesday in Axton.
According to a sheriff’s office news release issued Thursday, the resident of a home on Mars Drive in Axton called the 911 Center around 10:27 p.m. Wednesday to report the incident.
The resident said there had been a knock on his door. The resident opened the door and a male forced his way into the home, the release stated.
The suspect produced a gun and fired once inside the home, the release stated.
The suspect also took money from the resident before leaving the home, firing the gun several more times ouside before he left the scene in a vehicle, according to a release.
The resident was not injured in the incident, the release added.
No arrests had been made or charges filed as of Thursday evening, the release stated. The suspect was described as a male wearing all black.
