Sarah Lawrence Mitchell and Stephen Alexander Raybould, both of Dover, N.H., were married on Dec. 15 at St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church in Dover. The Rev. Susan Garrity performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Lynnie Mitchell and the late Roy Truslow Mitchell. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hilton Hicks, Ruth Truslow Mitchell and Henry Lester Mitchell.
The bridegroom is the son of Paul Raybould of Manchester, Mass., and Diane Davis of Jamaica. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Savage Raybould and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Harbeck.
The bride was escorted by her godfather, John Sherman Jr. of Richmond.
She wore a silk gown with lace-capped sleeves, a chapel-length train and a lace-edged veil. She carried a bouquet of parrot tulips, curly willow, Japanese-grown sweet pea and white tweedia fiddlehead.
Maid of honor was sister of the bride Mary Lyons Mitchell of Wilmington, N.C. She wore a bronze dress with lace cutwork and carried a bouquet of red ranunculus, amaryllis and Japanese-grown sweet pea.
Best man was Leonardo Mercardo of Wilmington, Mass.
Kathy Fink of Dover played piano.
A reception was held at Orchard Street Chop Shop’s Top of the Chop in Dover.
The couple took a honeymoon in Jamaica.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Virginia Episcopal School, a 2004 graduate of North Carolina State University in Raleigh with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and environmental science and a 2012 graduate of University of Minnesota with a master’s degree in urban renewal and development from the Humphrey School. She is a small business owner.
The bridegroom attended San Diego City College and is the framing department manager and part owner of Rayboulds’ Lolly, LLC.
Prior to the wedding, the couple was honored with an engagement party on Nov. 22 hosted by the bride’s mother at Fearrington House in Pittsboro, N.C.
