BREAKING NEWS: Adkins, Teague elected by council
Mayor and vice mayor, respectively

Kim Adkins was re-elected mayor of Martinsville and Councilman Gene Teague was elected vice mayor today.
Both votes by their fellow council members were unanimous.
The mayor and vice mayor serve two-year terms. Adkins had been mayor for the past two years; Kimble Reynolds Jr. had been vice mayor. Reynolds did not seek re-election in November.
Also today, Sharon Brooks Hodge was sworn in to the council seat she won in the November election. She fills the seat Reynolds had held.
