Morgan Emily Moran of Radford and Christopher Allen Taylor of Roanoke were married on Oct. 19 in an outdoor ceremony on The Hart Plaza overlooking the lake at Ferrum College. The Rev. Richard Randall performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Sammy E. Moran and Lisa Stone-Moran of Bassett. She is the granddaughter of Ralph and Glenda Stone of Bassett and Maggie Moran of Bassett and the late Sam E. Moran.

The bridegroom is the son of Timothy and Tamara Lisk of Roanoke and Tracy and Jennifer Taylor of Smith Mountain Lake. He is the grandson of Don and Lorraine Luther of Roanoke and the late Sandy and Andrew Parker.

The bride was escorted by her parents. She wore an A-line gown with a fitted bodice and a lace and chiffon skirt with beads and crystals, a fingertip-length veil and cowboy boots. She carried a bouquet of purple and yellow cascading flowers with ribbons and an antique gold locket.

Maid of honor was sister of the bride Hailey Elizabeth Moran of Ferrum. She wore a dark purple strapless, chiffon dress with cowboy boots and carried lit candles, cascading flowers and ribbons.

Bridesmaids were Molly Dillon of Washington D.C., Leighanna Glazebrook of Ashland, Emily Brooks of Richmond and sister of the bridegroom Crystal Taylor Lawhorn of Roanoke. Their dresses and arrangements matched those of the maid of honor.

Flower girls were Anne and Hunter Scherer, twin daughters of Dr. Christopher and Laura Scherer of Charlottesville, and niece of the bridegroom McKenzie Lawhorn, daughter of Crystal and David Lawhorn of Roanoke.

Best man was father of the bridegroom Tracy Taylor.

Groomsmen were Colin Poe of Lynchburg, Thomas Robinson of Front Royal and Troy Hughson of Roanoke.

Ring bearer was cousin of the bride Parker Henson, son of Michael and Britney Henson of Roanoke.

A program of music was provided by pianist Kelly Randall of Bassett, vocalist Jade Jones of Ferrum and vocalist and guitarist Derek Spencer of Henry.

A reception was held at the Blue Ridge Mountain Ballroom at Ferrum College.

The couple took a honeymoon to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and the West Indies in the Caribbean.

They live in Radford.

The bride is a 2007 graduate of Bassett High School and a 2010 graduate of Ferrum College. She is pursuing a master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from Radford University.

The bridegroom is a 2007 graduate of Northside High School and a 2012 graduate of Ferrum College. He is employed by Verizon in Roanoke.

Prior to the wedding, the couple was honored on the following occasions: in July, a household shower at Bassett Church of the Brethren, hosted by Sherry Vestal, Hailey Moran, Annis Mize, Diane Stone and Brittany Stone; in August, a brunch and recipe shower at the home of Susan Warren, hosted by her, Mary Kate Dillon and Laura Scherer, and a bachelorette party and lingerie shower at Omni Hotel in Richmond hosted by Molly Dillon, Emily Brooks and Leighanna Glazebrook; in September, a bridal shower hosted Tim and Tammy Lisk at their home; and Oct. 18, a rehearsal dinner at Paradise Restaurant in Ferrum, hosted by Tim and Tammy Lisk and Tracy and Jennifer Taylor.
