BREAKING NEWS: Henry County, Martinsville schools closed Friday

As a result of the threat of inclement weather, Henry County Schools will be closed Friday, according to a release from school spokesman Melany Stowe. That also affects all after-school and evening activities, she wrote.
Martinsville City Schools also will be closed Friday.
Patrick County schools are scheduled to start on a two-hour delay. Twelve month employees will report on regular schedule, according to school officials.
Up to an inch of snow and sleet is expected to fall across the area Friday, which could lead to slick roads, according to the National Weather Service.
