BREAKING NEWS: County, city schools, PHCC to open late Monday

Due to the possibility of hazardous travel conditions in the morning, Henry County and Martinsville schools will operate on a two-hour delay Monday, according to both school systems.

Patrick Henry Community College will open at 10 a.m., according to the school's website.

According to the National Weather Service office in Blacksburg, there is a chance of rain or freezing rain before 4 a.m. Monday.

Freezing rain is likely between 4 and 5 a.m., and then rain or freezing rain is expected after 5 a.m., the weather service states.

The low is forecast to be 31.

After the morning rain, Monday will be cloudy with a high of 48, according to the weather service.
