BREAKING: Toddler's death under investigation

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 3-year-old child Monday at Memorial Hospital, according to a release from the sheriff's office.
According to the release, the Martinsville/Henry County Communications Center received a call from the hospital at 3:10 p.m. in reference to a child who was unresponsive.
After officers responded to the call, the child was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later, the release said. The cause of death is unknown, the release added.
An autopsy will be performed at the office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the Western District of Virginia today in Roanoke, Henry County Sheriff’s Lt. David White said Monday.
