Sara Beth Ramsey of Bassett and Bradley Allen Morris of Ridgeway were married on July 21 at Sundara in Boones Mill. Pastor Doug Ramsey performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Rick and Liz Jorgensen of Bassett and John and Gail Ramsey of Stuart. She is the granddaughter of John Burnice Ramsey Sr. of Martinsville, Mr. and Mrs. Don Connie of Alberta, Canada, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Thurman Clark.

The bridegroom is the son of Steven and Rita Morris of Ridgeway. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Simmons of Woolwine and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Morris of Martinsville.

The bride was escorted by her brothers Army PSP John Ramsey III and Marine Cpl. Logan Bowman, both of Bassett. She wore a strapless A-line gown with beaded floral detail, tiered organza, a chapel-length train and an elbow-length veil with beaded floral design. She carried a bouquet of hot pink lilies, turquoise Gerbera daisies and orange and pink flowers.

Matrons of honor were Melanie Eggleston of Martinsville and Dyan Ragsdale of Patrick Springs. Eggleston wore a Y-neck sleeveless pink dress with a turquoise flower at the hip, and Ragsdale wore a strapless turquoise dress with a hot pink flower at the hip. Their bouquets matched that of the bride.

Bridesmaids were DelShana LeGrant of Martinsville and Stephanie Giles of Blairs, whose dresses matched Eggleston’s, and Whitney Overstreet of Salem and Brooke Quinlivan of Charlottesville, whose dresses matched Ragsdale’s. Their bouquets matched the bride’s.

The bridegroom’s father was best man.

Groomsmen were brother of the bridegroom Jason Morris of Ridgeway, Branden Rea of Spencer, Jason Cox of Martinsville, Darrin Goin of Bristol, Tenn., and Travis Cox of Roanoke.

A program of wedding music was rendered by fiddle player Robert Shively of Boone, N.C.

A reception was held at Sundara.

The couple took a honeymoon to Harbor Island, S.C.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Fieldale-Collinsville High School, a 2007 graduate of Radford University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and early childhood education and a 2009 graduate of Radford with a master’s degree in early childhood special education. She is employed by Henry County Public Schools.

The bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Magna Vista High School and a 2008 graduate of Patrick Henry Community College with a CADD certificate. He is employed by Glass Dynamics.

Prior to the wedding, the couple was honored on the following occasions: Nov. 9, 2011, a bridal shower in Axton hosted by Melanie Eggleston; April 28, 2012, a bridal shower at First Baptist Church of Collinsville hosted by Melanie Eggleston and Susan Thacker; and May 26, an engagement dinner in Roanoke hosted by Doris Pearman, Jane Smith and Raymond Morris.
