Not all seniors complain

Wednesday, June 12, 2013

In response to Danny Clifton’s letter regarding elderly people (“Why do elderly complain?” published June 4):

Not all of us seniors complain. I believe our attitude and words affect us. You can be a healthy senior. I am, and I am age 70.

I would like to quote the author Charles Capps: “People who have an image of themselves being in poor health will talk about poor health. Even though they may be in good health, they seem to live out the reality of the image they have of themselves even unto death.”

Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (KJV)
