Kelly V. Putman and Kevin L. Jarrett, both of Ridgeway, were married on June 8 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. High Priest and Branch President Gordon T. Hodnett performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Clayton F. Putman Jr. of Mineral and Rebecca E. Reed of Liberty, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Elaine Putman of Cordova, Md., and the late Clayton F. Putman Sr.
The bridegroom is the son of Jerry C. Jarrett of Ridgeway and Delores Robertson of White Lake, N.C. He is the grandson of Alma Wood of Burlington, N.C., and Margaret Jarrett of Bassett and the late Cornnett Jarrett.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a purple gown and carried a bouquet of daisies, white roses and greenery with pearl-accented ribbon.
A reception was held at the Dutch Inn, where the couple stayed for their honeymoon.
They live in Ridgeway.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of American School and a 2006 graduate of Penn Foster Career School with certification as a veterinary assistant. She is employed in the apparel department of Wal-mart in Martinsville.
The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Magna Vista High School. He is employed by Roc Ten in Ridgeway.
Prior to the wedding, the couple was honored with a family dinner at Country Cookin’ in Martinsville on June 7.
