Light snow in forecast Tuesday
Monday, January 20, 2014
By BULLETIN STAFF REPORTS -
Cold temperatures and light snow are likely in the area Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
A clipper system will bring cold temperatures and a 70 percent chance of snow into the region Tuesday. The snow is most likely to fall between 1 and 5 p.m., with the greatest accumulation in higher elevations, the weather service reported.
In Martinsville, less than 1 inch of accumulation is expected, the forecast shows. Tuesday’s high will be around 34 and the low only 11 degrees.
Increasing winds Tuesday night and early Wednesday could lead to wind chills below zero, the weather service cautioned.
Wednesday will be cold as well, with a high of 28 degrees and a low of 12.
