A Spencer woman has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding after a county man was stabbed on Friday, according to a release from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
Cynthia Devone Glenn, 42, of 29944 Jeb Stuart Highway, Spencer, was arrested Friday and is being held in the Henry County Jail without bond, the release stated.
She is charged in the wounding of William Massie Pritt Jr., 42, of 29942 Jeb Stuart Highway, Spencer, the release stated.
Around 4:21 p.m. Friday, the Martinsville/Henry County Emergency 911 Center received a call of a stabbing that occurred in the road in front of 304 Michelle St., the release stated.
According to the release, witnesses said an argument allegedly ensued between Pritt and Glenn. Pritt allegedly was stabbed twice in the torso with a knife, the release stated.
Pritt was taken to the Memorial Hospital in Martinsville and subsequently was flown to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He underwent surgery and was listed in stable condition, the release stated.
The suspect allegedly fled the scene but was located shortly thereafter and taken into custody, according to the release.
