Two people have been charged in a shooting incident in which three people were wounded at the Richwood Apartments on Tuesday, according to a Henry County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Tahj Jerome Capel, 22, of 124 Yvonne Road Martinsville, was charged with malicious wounding of Richard Lee Hannon, conspiracy to commit malicious wounding of Hannon and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, the release stated.

Montaious Laron Hunt, 22, of 25 W. Market St., Martinsville, was charged with malicious wounding of Hannon and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to the release. It added that all charges are felonies.

Capel and Hunt are being held in the Henry County Jail without bond.

Wounded in the incident were Hannon, 23, of 503 Third St., Martinsville, who sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg; Jarikus Lamar Finney, 27, of 755 Stultz Road, Martinsville, who sustained a gunshot wound to his left foot; and Hunt, who sustained a gunshot wound and his right leg and a grazing gunshot wound to the left side of his chest, the release stated.

Hannon, Finney and Hunt were treated at the Memorial Hospital in Martinsville and released, according to the release.

The Martinsville/Henry County 911 Center received a call of a shooting that occurred at Richwood Apartments, located at 90 Richwood Circle, Martinsville, around 3:08 p.m. Tuesday, the release stated.

The sheriff’s office had issued a search warrant and impounded a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in connection with the investigation, Sheriff Lane Perry said Tuesday.

The investigation is continuing.

The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards up to $1,000 for information related to crime. The nature of the crime and the substance of the information determine the amount of reward paid.
