The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery that occurred at Village Market, 6601 Fairystone Park Highway, Bassett, at 10 p.m. Thursday.

Two males entered the store and one of them brandished a handgun while demanding the clerks give him money, according to a sheriff’s office news release. The two suspects were heavily clothed, including masks and gloves.

After taking an undisclosed amount of money and the purse of one of the clerks, the two suspects fled the store on foot, the release stated.

This robbery is similar in nature to one the sheriff’s office is investigating that took place at the Fas Mart,1015 Fairystone Park Highway, Stanleytown, at 3:40 a.m. July 25, the release stated.
