Figsboro Horse Show at the Metz Farm, Muddy Fork Road, Figsboro. Gates open at 9 a.m. for registration. First show at noon; evening show at 6 p.m. The Figsboro Ruritan Club and Ladies Auxiliary will be selling concessions. There are 82 categories to enter with entry fees varying by class. For categories with five or fewer entries, money will start with second place.
Patrick County Music Association will present a Music Jamboree in the large Rotary building (fairgrounds), Stuart. Doors will open at 4 p.m. for jamming and concessions with steak sandwiches by the Cattlemen’s Association and homemade ice cream by Concord Methodist Church. On-stage entertainment by special guest Southern Depot; also, Patrick County Bluegrass Youth, Chords of Faith, Kopper Kanyon, Jason Harris and Friends and The Highlanders. Bring lawn chairs; free admission, but donations accepted.
Benefit pancake breakfast at First Baptist Church of Ridgeway: 8-11 a.m., hosted by the Blue Ridge Bombers softball team. All proceeds will go to Paulette Martin, a Bombers parent, who has the disease scleroderma.
Bassett Rescue Squad will hold a community breakfast: 6-10 a.m. at the rescue squad at Bassett.
Henry County Bike Club will hold a beginner bike ride at the Fieldale Walk/Bike Trail: 10 a.m. All participants must wear helmets and should bring water and snacks if desired.
