Fans, drivers weigh in on speedway's new hot dogs

Drivers and race fans sounded off this weekend on the hot topic that has been dogging the Martinsville Speedway: How are the new hot dogs?

On March 19, the speedway confirmed that after 70 years, it no longer would be using Jesse Jones Southern Style Hot Dogs in its iconic Martinsville Speedway Hot Dogs, but instead would be serving Valleydale Hot Dogs.

According to speedway concession stand employee Jamika Joyce, on Friday, the hot dogs were selling briskly, and the customers seemed to be enjoying them.

Gift limits sought
By Gov. McAuliffe for state lawmakers

County court unseals more indictments
Three people named

Three more people were named in 10 recently unsealed indictments that were handed down March 16 by a Henry County Circuit Court grand jury.

On that date, more than 50 people were named in 113 indictments, and an additional 24 indictments were sealed on an order from Henry County Circuit Court Judge David V. Williams.
