Punta Gorda, FL – Georgia Edna Bryant, 95, of Sandhill Gardens Retirement Residence, Punta Gorda, FL died March 17, 2013 at Charlotte Regional Medical Center, Port Charlotte, Florida.
She was born in McComus, West Virginia on January 10, 1918 to the late Newell K. Bryant and Rebecca Eanes Bryant. She retired from the Federal Aviation Admin-istration, US Department of Transportation. She was a graduate of Blacksburg High School, Blacksburg, VA She attended Unity Church of Peace, Port Charlotte, FL.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Phillip A. McKee, Sr., of Lavonia, Georgia, who passed on February 25, 2013; three brothers, Henry, Cecil and William Bryant of Christians-burg, Virginia, three sisters, Mildred Early, Salem, Virginia, Hilda Oliver and Beulah Griffith of Stevens City, Virginia.
She is survived by one son, Paul W. McKee, Jr. (Erma) of Bassett, Virginia, nine grandchildren, Paul McKee III, (Marlyn) of Chester, Virginia, Mark McKee (Sherry) of Sanford, NC, Dale McKee (Janice) of McDonough, GA, Mary Beth Goodin (Leon) of Glade Hill, VA, Dora Faye (Dodie) McKee of Richmond, VA, Ryan McKee of Phil-adelphia, PA, Phillip McKee, Jr. of Houghton, LA., Tonna Gruber, Sarasota, FL, and Katy Richmond, Des Moines, IA.
Also surviving are 13 great-grandchildren and one sister, Wilma Dunn of New Castle, VA.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date. National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte, FL is handling arrangements.
