Linda “Lou” Mitchell, 57, of Bassett, died January 31, 2013. She was born in Martinsville on February 5, 1955 to the late William “Wild Bill” Hubbard and the late Myrtle Mary Secrest and was also preceded in death by a brother, James W. Gamble. Lou was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, David Leon Mitchell of Bassett; one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Allen Dula of Pleasant Grove; one son, Anthony “Tony” Mitchell of Bassett; one granddaughter, Stormie Gail Dula of Pleasant Grove; three sisters, Darlene Gamble of Martinsville, Mary Gamble of Bassett, Catherine Jeanette “Gina” Lamkin of Bassett; one half brother, Kevin Hubbard of Ridgeway and lots of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6PM to 8 PM on Monday, February 4, 2013 in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel and at other times at the home of Teresa Dula. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, February 5, 2013 in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Bishop Dwayne Pruitt officiating. All other services are private.
Bassett Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
