Vista Marie Brewer, 68, of Bassett, died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in West Virginia on December 29, 1944. She was a member of the Critz Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen S. “Sandy” Brewer; two daughters, Kathy Cox of Chesapeake, VA and Vickie McCoy and husband, Thaddeus of Martinsville; granddaughter, Tamara McCoy of Martinsville; two step-sons, Jerry Brewer of Swords Creek, VA and David Brewer of Haynes City, FL; one step-daughter, Uraina Hill of Stafford, VA; step-grandson, Matthew Brewer and other step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; one brother, Carmon Wagner of Stella, VA; two sisters, Judy Hankins of Belfast, VA and Glenda Smith of Roanoke, VA.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 6 – 8 pm in the Bassett Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be held Monday at 12 Noon in the Bassett Funeral Chapel with Pastor Garry Hazelwood, Pastor Jimmy Wood and Pastor Roger Moore officiating. Burial to follow in the Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
