Contributed by: Kiah Cooper
Ingredients:
  • for the rub:
  • 1â„2 cup white sugar
  • 1â„2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 TBS paprika
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 TBS garlic powder
  • 1 TBS kosher salt
  • 1 TBS chili powder
  • 1â„2 tsp. Cheyenne pepper
  • for the basting sauce:
  • 1 (18 oz) bottle barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 1 TBS crushed red pepper
  • 1â„4 cup apple cider vinegar
Prepare two slabs of baby back ribs by trimming the extra fat and membrane off of the back. Coat the ribs thoroughly with rub and refrigerate for a couple of hours.
Preheat an oven to 200 degrees and cook ribs, covered, for four hours. Remove from oven and let cool.
Preheat grill to 400 degrees; mix all basting sauce ingredients well. Place ribs on grill rack. Baste and turn ribs every three minutes until desired coating is reached. Do not exceed 20 minutes on grill.
