  • 3-4 yellow apples, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 11â�„2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 2 uncooked pie crusts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Boil the apples for about 20-25 minutes on medium high heat in just enough water to cover the top of the apples. Add the butter, nutmeg and sugar to the apples; mix well. Put one pie crust in the bottom of a baking pan and add the apple filling; sprinkle the mixture with flour. Put the remaining crust on top of the apple mixture. Dot with butter and poke some holes in the crust. Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown.
