  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 11â�„2 cups cooked, sliced sweet potatoes
  • 1 15 oz. can diced pears, drained
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1â�„2 cup light brown sugar
  • 11â�„2 cups water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt the margarine in a 9-by-13-inch ovenproof dish.
Mix together the flour, 1 cup sugar and milk; pour on top of melted margarine. Do not mix. Gently mix the remaining ingredients; pour on top of batter in pan. Do not mix. Bake for 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
