Family Spaghetti Bake
Pasta

Ingredients:
  • 1 box spaghetti or penne pasta
  • 2 TBS olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic or 1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 jars spaghetti sauce
  • 1 tsp. oregano, optional
  • 1 tsp. thyme, optional
  • 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 9- b-13- inch casserole dish.
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, rinse and set aside.
Heat olive oile in a alrge skillet. Saute onion and garlic 2 or 3 minutes. Add ground beef and cook until brown. Mix spaghetti sauce (and optional herbs) in with theground beef. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Mix the cheeses together. Mil half of the cheese into the meat and suace mixture. Pour into the dish. Top with the rest of the cheese and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until heated thoroughly and cheese is bubbly.
