  • 1/2 cup crushed pecans or black walnuts
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 can crescent rolls
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Melt the butter and brown sugar in a 9 -inch round cake pan in hot oven or Dutch oven. Mix and add nuts. Uniformly spread the mixture over the pan bottom. Open the can of dough, do not unroll. Slice in 1/2 -to 3/4 -inch thick rounds and place in the pan over the nut mixture. Bake for 11 to 12 minutes. In a Dutch oven, check for browning after 9 or 10 minutes. Place pan upside down on a plate to cool. Remove pan and serve. Yields 10-12 buns.
