Wow-Wow Sauce
Sauces

Ingredients:
  • 1 oz. butter
  • 2 TBS flour
  • 11â�„4 cup vegetable or meat stock
  • 2 TBS wine vinegar
  • 1 TBS Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 TBS prepared mustard
  • 2 TBS chopped parsley
  • salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 pickled walnuts (optional)
Melt the butter in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over low heat. Add the flour and cook for two minutes, stirring constantly. Gradually add the stock and continue to cook until it makes a smooth sauce. Season with vinegar, Worchestershire sauce and mustard, and cook gently for 10 more minutes. Stir in the parsley, and add salt and pepper to taste.
Cut the pickled walnuts into small pieces and add them to the sauce. Serve warm.
