  • 11â�„4 cup sugar
  • 1â�„2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1â�„4 cup butter, softened
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 9-inch unbaked pie crust
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine the sugar, corn syrup and butter in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally until butter melts completely. Remove from heat and gradually stir hot syrup into beaten eggs; add pecans. Cool to lukewarm and add vanilla.
Pour mixture into the unbaked pie crust and bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
