  • 2 cups warm water, divided
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 tsp. vital wheat flour or all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. canola oil
Mix 1 cup water, dry yeast and honey together.
In a medium bowl, mix flour and salt. Add yeast mixture to flour. Add oil and stir well. Add remaining water and mix well. Knead soft dough.
Coat loaf pan with vegetable spray or oil. Place dough in loaf pan and let rise until double in size. Bake at 300 degrees until brown (about 35 minutes).
